Ladder Safety Training

This Ladder Safety Training aims to impart to the trainees the skills and knowledge necessary to become competent when working with Ladders so as to prevent falls in accordance with statutory regulations laid down in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007.


Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for those who use ladders and/or stepladders as part of their job role.

If your job role involves Working at Height, then you are required to undertake working at heights training. See our Working at Heights page for more information.


Participants per course:

Maximum of 12 participants


Course Duration:

4 Hours (1/2 Day)


Course Programme:

  • Introduction – Course administration, Aims and Objectives
  • Legislation governing Working at Heights
  • Accident and Incident statistics (and reasons people fall from ladders)
  • Risk Assessment
  • Types of Ladders
  • Safe Systems of Work
  • Inspection and Record Keeping
  • Practical – inspection, recording and climbing

Certification:

Participants, who successfully complete the course, will receive a course completion certificate from Corribview Safety Services Ltd. The certificate is valid for three years.
