This programme is designed for Micro and Small Businesses in Ireland to ensure compliance with all Return to Work Safely Protocol in relation to Covid-19.
The programme is developed and implemented by our Safety Advisors and is developed to meet your company’s specific requirements. Full details on the contents of this programme are outlined below. It is envisaged that this programme will take 3 weeks to implement in the workplace. All documents, safety procedures and training will be developed in line with Return to Work Safely Protocol as published by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation and the Department of Health (October 2020). Any particular industry standards published will also be referred to including the Biological Agents Regulations 2020.
The main aim of the programme is to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 in workplaces in Ireland by setting out a framework for the implementation of a Covid-19 workplace programme. A detailed proactive response within businesses in relation to Covid-19, specifically focussing on proven and scientific methods of controlling the transmission of the disease in businesses is required. This will ultimately lead to increased health and well-being among employees and the wider community (Jahangiri et al. 2020).
In line with the Return to Work Safely Protocol a number of steps must be taken by employers and workers to reduce risk of exposure to Covid-19 in the workplace. Corribview Safety Services Ltd. through the implementation of this workplace programme will assist with the development and implementation of all of the following in collaboration with management and employees in the business.

Covid-19 Workplace Safety Training
Employers must ensure that all personnel receive appropriate training (to include induction training or return to work safely training) to implement requirements of this Covid-19 Workplace Programme, the employer or worker must maintain documentation of this training.
This training will be provided as part of this workplace programme and advice will be given to employers on the level of training required in site specific workplaces.
- All staff returning to work must complete specific C-19 Return to Work Safely training, there are specific requirements in relation to this training as outlined in the Return to Work Safely Protocol published by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation and the Department of Health. This training will be provided online to participants, which individuals can complete at their own time. The course lasts approximately 1 ½ hours and all participants can download a certificate of completion when the course is finished. Employees will also be given the opportunity to par take in an interactive questions and answers session to compliment this training and will also be given the opportunity to provide detailed feedback on training.
- A number of C-19 Lead Worker Representatives must be selected and trained, the number being proportionate to your business. C-19 Worker Representatives must receive specific training as outlined Return to Work Safely Protocol published by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation and the Department of Health. The main function of the C-19 Worker Representatives is to assist management in implementing all public health guidelines in relation to Covid-19. This training is available online, which individuals can complete at their own time. The course lasts approximately 2 ½- 3 hours and all participants can download a certificate of completion when the course is finished. Employees will also be given the opportunity to par take in an interactive questions and answers session to compliment this training and will also be given the opportunity to provide detailed feedback on training.
- COVID-19 Compliance Officer Construction: The Construction Industry Federation have released a guide to standard operation procedures SOPs for construction sites. Every site must have an adequate number of COVID-19 compliance officers considering the size of each site to ensure adequate supervision of operations at all times. This training is specifically designed to meet the procedures set out in the CIF Construction Guidance. This course is designed for site managers, health and safety officers, EHS Advisors and any employee given responsibilities to manage COVID SOPs on site. The course lasts approximately 3 hours and all participants can download a certificate of completion when the course is finished. Employees will also be given the opportunity to par take in an interactive questions and answers session to compliment this training and will also be given the opportunity to provide detailed feedback on training.
- Covid-19 Basic First Aid is also available. This training course will provide basic first aid skills to the participant while also detailing specific infection prevention and control measures required in the workplace. This training is available online, which individuals can complete at their own time. The course lasts approximately 2 hours and all participants can download a certificate of completion when the course is finished. Employees will also be given the opportunity to par take in an interactive questions and answers session to compliment this training and will also be given the opportunity to provide detailed feedback on training.
- Personal Protective Equipment a short training course will be provided to all employees and managers in the workplace on the safe donning and doffing requirements for any PPE identified in company risk assessments and safety procedures. The tutorial will last approximately 1 hour and all participants can download a certificate of completion when the course is finished. Employees will also be given the opportunity to par take in an interactive questions and answers session to compliment this training and will also be given the opportunity to provide detailed feedback on training.
Additional Notes: All works carried out by Corribview Safety Services staff are carried out by competent and qualified safety professionals as required and defined by the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005. All safety consultants hold a minimum NFQ Level 8. Corribview Safety Services is a member of NISO and a chartered member of IOSH.
