  • Practice in safe manual handling of loads to include:
    • Lifting to and from ground level
    • Lifting to and from a height
    • Pushing
    • Pulling

  • Topic 3: Functions of the Disc
  • Topic 4: Musculeo-Skeletal System
  • Topic 5: Lifting
  • Topic 6: Ergonomics
  • Topic 7: Legislation Acts (’05 & ’07)

Course Format

This training will be delivered online and requires a computer/device connected to the internet and is running on a web browser. The course contains audio so participants will require headphones or speakers plugged into the computer or device to listen to it.


Course Certification

In its entirety, our Manual Handling course comprises of two separate assessments; – a theory assessment and a practical assessment.

For this reason, upon completion of this online theory course, you will be prompted to book a date and time for your offline practical.

Only upon completion of both the theory AND practical element of this course will you be awarded the relevant certification.

Funding Eligibility

This course has been approved by Next Level Skillnet for funding. Next Level Skillnet members are given financial support with training costs (fee subvention) for their employees. This can be as much as 45% of the course cost.

How do we become a member?

Becoming a member of our network is easy. There is no membership fee required however your company must match the following criteria:

– Your company must not be a public-sector company.

– Your company must either be paying employee’s fees directly or else reimbursing employees that pay their own fees.
